Meet the Team Behind Catalyst
Two food industry veterans. One shared conviction: leadership development isn't a perk — it's how the industry gets better.
JILL STUBER
Co-Founder, Catalyst Food Leaders
Jill knows what it feels like to get promoted into leadership and realize nobody gave you the tools for what comes next. That experience — the pressure, the gap, the figuring-it-out-alone — is what drove her to build something different.
With over 25 years in the food industry, Jill has worked with multi-million-dollar food companies at the corporate and facility level, as well as small and mid-size operations. Her background spans leadership development, food safety culture, and the kind of people work that determines whether an organization actually functions — or just looks like it does on paper.
She places great emphasis on the human side of leadership: empathy, communication, belonging, and the individual motivations that either bind a team together or quietly tear it apart. She believes the food industry has more talent than it knows what to do with — and that developing it intentionally is both a business strategy and a moral obligation.
Jill is a professionally certified coach, HACCP Certified, PCQI Certified, an SQF Practitioner, a Six Sigma Black Belt, and a Lean Facilitator. She holds a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Food Science and a Master's degree in Quality Management. She serves as Vice Chair of the Developing Food Safety Professional's Professional Development Group at the International Association for Food Protection.
When she's not working, you'll find Jill at a hockey rink, a baseball field, or on a walk — probably processing something she just read or laughing at a quirky sitcom.
TIA GLAVE
Co-Founder, Catalyst Food Leaders
Tia has always been a natural leader. What she learned — and what drives everything she does now — is that natural isn't enough. The best leaders aren't just gifted. They're intentional.
Tia is a professional coach with a decade of experience in food safety, quality, and regulatory across large food manufacturing, food retail, and start-up food environments. She's a Chemical Engineer by training, which means she thinks in systems — and she brings that same rigor to leadership and culture work. She's versed in GFSI schemes, qualified in PCQI and FSVP, and has worked across dairy, frozen, refrigerated baked goods, seafood, frozen pasta, and baby food.
She's also the founder of the Black Professionals in Food Safety Group — a LinkedIn community built to foster sharing, development, and connection for Black talent in food safety and quality. It's one of the things she's most proud of, and it reflects what she brings to every room she's in: a commitment to making space for people who've historically had to work twice as hard to be seen.
Tia serves as Vice Chair of the Retail & Food Service Professional Development Group at the International Association for Food Protection. She's an active member of the food safety community and a sought-after voice on leadership, culture, and belonging in food.
Outside of work, Tia is most herself with her family and the people she loves — which, if you know her, tells you everything about how she leads.
