Why We Built This
Jill got promoted into leadership and had a personnel crisis within the first month. Standing in the middle of it, she remembers thinking: I didn't sign up for this.
Nobody told her that being great at the job didn't automatically make her great at leading people. Nobody gave her the tools. She figured it out — but not without cost.
Tia's experience was different. She was a natural leader — confident, capable, someone people gravitated toward. But natural only gets you so far. She hit a moment where instinct wasn't enough and realized that even leaders who are born for it have to choose to be intentional about it.
Two different paths. The same gap.
In food manufacturing, processing, and agriculture, that gap is everywhere. Brilliant, capable people get promoted into leadership without the support, tools, or development they need to actually lead well. Culture suffers. Teams stall. Good people leave.
We built Catalyst because we'd both lived it — and because we believed the food industry deserved better than generic leadership programs that don't understand the pace, the pressure, or the people.
